Valve sizing and selection software, Nelprof™

The complete selection tool for all intelligent automated process valves is now available as a free web-based tool.

We are glad to announce the release of a brand-new online version of Nelprof™ valve sizing and selection software. Nelprof™, with its advanced control valve selection features, was first introduced in 1981. This latest version brings Nelprof™ to the 2020’s with easy online access simply via your web browser. Nelprof™ is the number one tool for control valve sizing with extensive control performance analysis and enables easy and reliable on/off valve selection and optimizing safety-critical system component selection.

Control valve selection with performance analysis

Optimized control valve selection with extensive control performance analysis.

Performance analysis, which has been one of the most recognized value-adding features in the control valve sizing tool since 1980’s, can be used to study valve controllability in a closed control loop. The control valve sizing module includes liquid, gas and multi-phase flow sizing as well as noise and cavitation prediction analysis according to the latest international standards. Evaluating control valve sizing with fixed flow resistors and attenuators is also possible with just a couple of clicks. Naturally, optimized actuator sizing and selection is an integral part of control valve sizing in Nelprof™.

Fast and reliable on/off valve selection

The on/off calculation tool allows the selection of all Neles metal- and soft seated on/off valves with advanced but easy-to-use actuator sizing, including adjustable safety factor and torque key figures. By using the tool, you can select the actuator more effectively and accurately in the engineering phase, compared to conventional actuator selection. Returning to the documentation and revision of the sizing is, of course, also possible whenever needed in the later phases.

Optimizing safety-critical system components in valve selection

The SIL module for final element PFD (Probability of Failure on Demand) calculation allows both 1oo1 and 1oo1D (D standing for diagnostics) final-element calculation that takes into account the use of a valve, an actuator and a valve controller, like the market-leading partial stroke test device Neles ValvGuard™. In addition, one to several pneumatic components can be considered in the calculations.

Easy to use and reliable in results

With all the relevant parameters on your screen – easily available for you to be revised whenever needed – you can avoid many mistakes and work more efficiently by using the tool. Nelprof™ software - utilizes intelligence based on several decades of real-life experiences to help you size and select the best valve solution for any application.

We sincerely welcome you to take a closer look into Nelprof, our valve selection and sizing softwae.
