Our extensive flow control offering covers business solutions and services for our customers in various process industries to optimize the equipment use and the total cost of ownership. We help them improve operational efficiency, increase profitability and reduce risks. Below you can read more about the different industries we serve.
We serve various process industries
Facing increasing pressures to keep your power generating process up to code? Reliable valves and pumps help improve the productivity of your energy plant. We offer reliable valves, pumps and services for the energy industry.
Valves for Power-to-X (PtX)
Valve solutions for Power-to-X, Power-to-Ammonia and green hydrogen production. We offer a wide range of valve solutions for P2X: hydrogen applications from green electrolysis to blue carbon capture, and the entire journey in between and beyond.
Pulp, paper and bioproducts
Renewal is a serious business, as a rapidly evolving pulp, paper and bioproducts industry is being reinvented to help create sustainable success for the future. Our solutions are helping drive processes towards improved efficiency, reliability and environmental performance in the pulp, paper and bioproducts industry.
Mining, metals & steel
Reliable valve solutions for demanding mining, metals and steel applications. Our Neles™, Jamesbury™ and Flowrox™ valves and pumps are built to perform and handle demanding media – from abrasive slurries to the corrosive chemicals used in numerous refining processes. A significant proportion of global metals production flows through our valves.
For over 60 years, we have been working in the areas of fuel handling, chilled water systems, hydraulics, ventilation systems, seawater desalination and many other offshore applications. Our flow control solutions help you effectively deal with corrosion, vibration or extreme temperatures.
Water and wastewater industry
With a creative, solutions-minded valve partner, you can make water treatment and the handling of wastewater more sustainable and quieter. Reliable, industry-proven valves protect infrastructure investments from shutdown, safeguard neighborhoods and help avoid any legal or reputational risks of unsafe applications control.
Construction and cement handling
Cement is by nature extremely abrasive substance which affects all parts of the manufacturing process. Reliable flow control for cement handling is crucial.
Valves for other process industries
We are a leading provider of mission-critical flow control solutions and services for all process industries. Did you know our valves can be used also in sugar industry, among many others?

Solutions for cavitation, noise and flow-induced torque
Q: I need a solution for a demanding control valve application where the dynamic torque and cavitation have been challenging for conventional butterfly valves. Do you have any solutions in your product range? A: We would recommend our Neles™ Q-Disc™, which is available for our Neldisc™ and Wafer-Sphere™ butterfly valves. In short, Q-disc is a flow balancing trim designed to address the dynamic torque-related challenges included by flow in butterfly valve applications.
Smart technology utilization in the refining & chemicals industry
Over the years the field devices used in various process industries have changed from simple to more intelligent. Through the enhanced intelligent features, these smart field devices present process industries wide range of possibilities. Yet we find that the functionalities and benefits of smart technology are often not yet fully utilized. This is particularly the case when it comes to diagnostics features. We at Valmet hope to change all that.
Mineral concentrators & mineral processing
Poor pump and valve selection can result in costly operating expenses.
