Neles’ Code of Conduct and Supplier code of conduct for suppliers set the standards that we expect our suppliers to follow, and they are the starting point of any new or existing business relationship. It covers areas such as health and safety, child and forced labor, human rights, anti-corruption, compliance with laws and regulations, environment, and climate change.

We audit our suppliers regularly

We audit our suppliers regularly, and have set a long-term target of the top 90% of our suppliers in terms of spend having signed our Supplier Code of Conduct. In 2020, 1 supplier sustainability audit was conducted by an external auditor. We carried out 11 supplier sustainability audits with the support of our own internal team and an additional 10 supplier internal assessments. In cooperation with our suppliers, we take part in developing their opera-tions through knowledge sharing on, for example, setting occupational safety performance indicators, developing good chemical usage practices and radiation measurement.

RoHS and REACH

The materials we use comply with the RoHS Directive and REACH regulation. We also require that our own suppliers comply with those obligations, and our own operations are carried out in away which ensures compliance with REACH and RoHS.

Supplier assessment and audits

Neles conducts third-party sustainability supplier audits together with external auditing partners in certain countries. In addition, our procurement and quality assurance teams conduct internal sustainability supplier audits that include site visits.

The screening of new suppliers is included in our procurement processes, and our target is to evaluate all our new suppliers in higher-risk countries against our sustainability criteria. Based on the sustainability risk assessment of the new supplier, procurement decides on the need for an in-depth audit and/or further actions.

Supplier Code of Conduct

We expect our suppliers to follow Neles Supplier Code of Conduct. This is the starting point of any new or existing business relationship.

Neles Supplier Code of Conduct sets the standards that we expect our suppliers to follow. It covers areas such as health and safety, child and forced labor, human rights, anti-corruption, compliance with laws and regulations, environment and climate change.

Neles expects its suppliers to make every effort to always comply with this Neles Supplier Code when dealing with Neles. Familiarize yourself with the Neles Supplier Code of Conduct below:
