Aggregates producer Franzefoss is upgrading capacity on its existing Steinskogen quarry site outside of Oslo, Norway to meet its long term growth targets. Metso's fully automated crushing stages will allow flexible operations and scaling of the production to meet market demand. The value of the order will not be published.

The Minera Esperanza mine in Chile has decided to commence a project with Metso which targets to increase the mine's annual production of copper and gold by 15-20%. This will be done by installing a 20,000 ton per day (tpd) crushing and screening system which bypasses part of the mine's existing grinding circuit. The new plant is scheduled to start operations in 2015. There will be a site team of over 500 people during the peak phase of the project. The order, worth of around EUR 80 million, was booked in Mining and Construction's Q4 2013 orders received.

Royal Caribbean International's third vessel in the Oasis class series is currently under construction at STX France's shipyard in Saint Nazaire, France.

Metso continues to expand its industry-leading global service center network by opening mining service centers in Peru and Mexico. The investments, worth in total EUR 6 million, are in line with Metso's long-term strategy to strengthen its local services presence close to its customers. Metso already serves its mining and construction customers from over 50 service centers around the world. A new center is also in the process of being built in Mesa, Arizona, United States and in Labrador City in Canada.
