Valves for different applications in chemical industry

Valves for petrochemical applications
Today’s petrochemical producers face ever-increasing regulatory, environmental and performance demands. Now, more than ever, you need more than just a valve supplier. You need a reliability partner who offers deep application knowledge with a complete offering of technologies, customer support and services.

Ethylene and propylene processing
Steam cracking plants, which produce ethylene, are divided into three sections which together represent a very demanding environment. Propane dehydrogenation uses propane to produce high-quality propylene. Our valves offer the highest reliability throughout every step of the demanding process.

Polyolefins and polymers processing
Polyolefin technologies include gas-phase, slurry, high-pressure, mixed-phase, and solution processes. Our valves have been developed to operate in extreme conditions, dealing with an abrasive flow media at very demanding cycling requirements.

Valves for chlorine service
Chlorine service is notoriously challenging. It’s highly reactive as a liquid or gas and can easily go from a revenue generator to personal or environmental catastrophe if extreme precautions are not taken. Chlorine applications are not for the inexperienced or unproven.
Insights into chemical industry

Smart technology utilization in the refining & chemicals industry
Over the years the field devices used in various process industries have changed from simple to more intelligent. Through the enhanced intelligent features, these smart field devices present process industries wide range of possibilities. Yet we find that the functionalities and benefits of smart technology are often not yet fully utilized. This is particularly the case when it comes to diagnostics features. We at Valmet hope to change all that.

The Neles™ NDX 2.0 delivers on sustainability
Many have asked what’s so different about the new Neles NDX 2.0 valve controller. While there are several technical developments worth discussing, we’ll start by looking at the considerable increase in the potential to improve the sustainability of valve assemblies and the processes they are a part of.

What advantage does Valmet's FXM peristaltic pump have over a diaphragm pump?
Flow control expert Drew Schneider, a Project Manager, was asked to answer this commonly raised question.

Great expectations for Neles NDX™ 2.0 in China
The Neles NDX has been a runaway success in China since its launch in 2016. This high-quality valve controller has become a go-to device for many of China’s oil & gas and chemical industry operators. With the recent launch of the latest update, the Neles NDX 2.0, we are looking forward to a continued popularity.

Stock parts and ensure availability
Over recent years we have witnessed several events which only a decade ago would have been unthinkable. We all remember the photos of the small digger trying to free the massive cargo ship from the banks of Suez Canal, and we can still feel the effects of the viral pandemic. Moreover, the ever more frequent extreme weather patterns, such as floods and hurricanes, impose an additional uncertainty. There is clearly much more unpredictability and unrest around us. Just as the physical environment changes, so does the figurative environment we do business in; and these changes have certainly highlighted the fragility of the global supply chains.
